Discovery – Phase 1
The first and most crucial step of any project is the Planning and Discovery Phase. It is during this step that we’ll spend a lot of time getting to know you and your business. What will need to determined:
- What are your marketing objectives for this project?
- Who is your audience and what are their expectations?
- What message are you trying to convey?
- What is the competitive landscape and what are the industry best practices?
The crucial information that we uncover during this phase will provide the roadmap for the Design phase.
Design – Phase 2
The second step of the project is the Design Phase. Our professional design team will create with inspiration from the ambitions provided from the Discovery Phase and come up with a concept for your review - keeping in mind functionality, effectiveness, professional design and/or ease-of-use.
Designing the look and feel for your web site, ad or application is just one variable or aspect of this phase; there are other tasks that will need to addressed before moving on:
- Determining the architecture of your site by developing a detailed site map.
- If there are any technical developments, we will need to make sure that the design of the projects functionality meets all of its usability standards.
Now that you’ve confirmed the look of your project and have identified all of the components and/or pages that will need to be constructed, we are ready to start building the finished product through the Development Phase.
Development – Phase 3
The third phase in the project is the Development Phase where the actual production takes place. Our design teams actually create your product and during this phase we will do the following:
- Construct the navigational architecture with usability best practices for your web site.
- Propagate all pages with graphics and content
- Code any technical requirements into the site - including eCommerce functionality and any interactivity
- Create all the bells and whistles like Flash animations, dynamic menus, and multimedia components
- Create the image quality, print quality or color definitions required for the project.
Also, during this phase, our Usability Engineer will go through your new site to ensure that we have met our internal standards of making the site "super simple" to use. Once all of this is completed, we will assign a Quality Assurance resource to pour through the site making sure that everything works impeccably. Next we enter the Deployment Phase.
Deployment
The fourth and final step in the project is the Deployment Phase. This means your site goes live on the internet to begin advertising for your business.
Prior to going-live we will need to do the following:
- Thoroughly test, test, test to assure a flawless user experience
- Have our Quality Assurance department give the stamp of approval for meeting project requirements, usability and technical standards, and design excellence
- Determine a launch plan to promote your site (marketing collateral, ads, email blasts, etc.)
You are now ready to show your site to the rest of the world! Our team will submit your site to the appropriate search engines and if you would like we can begin a robust Search Engine Marketing Campaign that will help catapult your site to the top of the search engines.
